What is an Engagement Session?
This is a special photo session which provided lovely photographs of you and your fiance in a natural every day look that look wonderful in wedding invitations, save-the-date cards, or on a wedding website. These photos are especially cherished by parents and grandparents and will be proudly displayed on mantle’s everywhere!
I’m getting Wedding photos, so why would I want Engagement photos as well?
How many NICE photos of you and your fiance do you have? Most couples will probably answer, “none,” because you may have snapshots, but nothing grandma-worthy. Wedding photographs are a snapshot in time of a specific event in your life, and a very SPECIAL event at that! Engagement photos provide a snapshot to who you are as a couple during this entire time-period. This is how you are remembered by others, not in a white dress, but in your everyday garb. They are YOU, unaltered, unchanged, and as you are. My job as an Engagement photographer is to capture your personalities and show you how lovely you really are!
I don’t want the everyday cheesy engagement photos. I want something unique, and special. Can you do that?
Absolutely! Engagements sessions are tailored specifically for each couple. Each couple has their own unique characteristics/likes/dislikes that I incorporate into your photographs. I absolutely want to bring out the best in you both, and incorporate your ideas as well. During our consultation we will discuss your specific needs and wants, and come up with an unique plan just for you!
How long do Engagement sessions last?
I allow 1-2 hours of photography, with unlimited poses and a change of clothing (or two!) at the general location of your choice.
Where will we take the photos? Do you have a studio?
I chose not to have a studio because I am a lifestyle photographer. Generally, this means that I will photograph in a natural (un-posed) setting at all times. At your consultation, I will spend a great deal of time learning about you, what makes you YOU! Then we will decide together what type of location you would like to have in your photos. I love photographing a couple in the place where they met, or perhaps the tree they sit under at the park on weekends. The more personal the location, the more meaningful the photos will be. I truly hope that your engagement pictures immortalize you and your love as it is now. Not in a fancy dress, but in your everyday life, with out pretenses, without limitations, just pure YOU!
How much $$$ does an Engagement session cost?
Prices are flexible, as I offer two options for Engagement Sessions:
1. Pay a low sitting fee, and purchase only the prints/products you want.
2. Pay for the entire session on DVD with printing rights, so you can make the prints anywhere you would like.
